Sir,—I have been eagerly following the different accounts of the proposed meeting in London, “to fight the famine” among the children. To this conference, the Germans and Austrians delegates are said to have been invited. Nobody has been able to tell me whether they are expecting at that meeting any delegates from Russia. I cannot help asking how much time will be occupied in discussing the desperate condition of Russia’s children, the unhappy offspring of our heroic armies who kept up the struggle during three years, at a time when Germany was by no means exhausted. Russia’s efforts, for the Allied cause have been recognised by Marshal Foch and not by him alone; surely a little time of this conference will also be devoted to the orphans of your brothers-in-arms.—Yours. etc.,
OLGA NOVIKOFF, née KIREEFF.
